New Online Giving Service
Over the next few weeks, the church will be transitioning to a new Online Giving service. The new Online Giving service that was selected by the Consistory is called Tithe.ly. This full-service church online giving provider is one of the most widely used services across the country. Tithe.ly has a very responsive customer service team, offers additional features, and has lower fees.
Tithe.ly is very easy to setup and use for either one-time or recurring donations. For those members who use our current online giving service, they will find Tithe.ly has a much better user interface. Tithe.ly offers three main ways to give:
- Tithe.ly SBRC giving website (https://tithe.ly/give?c=429094)
- Tithe.ly Smartphone App for iPhone or Android
- Kiosk at the Church Welcome Center (coming soon)
Tithe.ly also offers users the option to cover the service fees for transactions. As with any online giving service, there are transactions fees which vary depending on if a credit card or electronic fund transaction (EFT) is used for the donation. By covering the convenience fees of using the service it maximizes your donation.
Why use Online Giving?
Online giving provides an easy way to bring our tithes and offerings to church each week, even when you can’t be there. It helps us prevent financial shortfalls during weeks where attendance is lower due to holidays and weather.
We recognize that sowing financially into the church is an important act of worship that we share in together. We are not discouraging the use of cash or check donations through the envelop process. Online giving is just another way to give which has become increasing popular among church members in our community and across the nation. We encourage you to exercise this act of worship to God in the way that is most comfortable to you.
When will this transition take place?
The Tithe.ly service is available for use right now. We will begin phasing out the current service beginning January 2019.
